Amirhossein Daraee's development workspace featuring dual monitors, MacBook Pro, and ergonomic desk setup

💻 Development Setup

Editors:

I split my time between VS Code and JetBrains Rider — Rider for larger .NET projects and VS Code for everything else.

Theme & Font:

It's Dracula everywhere. I've tried others, but nothing feels as balanced for long coding sessions.

Terminal:

I use iTerm with oh-my-posh, because clean prompts and colorful segments make the command line feel alive.

🧰 Tools & Apps

Productivity & Notes:

I'm deeply into the Apple ecosystem, and Obsidian is my second brain. It's where I plan, journal, and map out project ideas.

Browser:

I use Microsoft Edge everywhere — it's fast, integrated, and developer-friendly.

Extensions & Dev Tools:

Nothing too fancy — I like to keep things minimal and distraction-free.

🪑 Desk Setup

Main Gear:

  • Monitor: LG UltraGear 27GR75Q-B (27", WQHD, HDR10, 165 Hz, 1 ms, 99% sRGB)
  • Keyboard: Logitech MX Keys
  • Mouse: Logitech MX Master 3

Computer:

I currently use a MacBook M2 Pro with 16 GB RAM, and it's been an absolute powerhouse for development.

Ergonomics & Lighting:

  • Desk: VASAGLE Height-Adjustable Electric Desk (120×60 cm, memory presets)
  • Chair: Dowinx Fabric Gaming Chair with spring cushion, headrest & footrest (grey)
  • Monitor Arm: HUANUO Gas Spring Mount (17–30")
  • Light: Quntis Monitor Light Bar (touch control, anti-blue light, auto-dimming)

🧠 Workflow & Preferences

Languages & Frameworks:

Mostly C#, Blazor, and TypeScript these days.

Current Projects:

  • 🛒 Groceries price tracking app
  • 💥 Migraine tracking app (AuraTrack)
  • ⚙️ Smart file renamer CLI tool

Can't Live Without:

Claude and Claude Code — they've become a natural part of my daily dev flow.
